•Infrastructural development: Mr. Neeraj Kochhar believes that education is the biggest investment one can make in society. That’s why he supports various government schools in rural areas, provides scholarships to deserving students and contributes in infrastructural development. Recently, the CSR team of Viraj Profiles Ltd undertook the renovation of an old Zilla Parishad School in Athlepada Village in Palghar District of Maharashtra. The school was constructed and painted to promote a better learning and growth environment. According to Neeraj Raja Kochhar, a team of experienced artists was hired to give a fresh look to the school and the kids have loved it completely.
•Health camps: Truly said, ‘The greatest wealth is health’. In the spirit of bringing about a positive change in the society at the grassroots level, Viraj Profiles Ltd takes several initiatives to improve the life and health of the community at large. Recently, they organized a free health camp in an underdeveloped village near their manufacturing plant. According to Neeraj Kochhar, the camp was conducted under the guidance of professional ophthalmologists who rendered free consultation to more than 280 patients. Taking a step further, the company distributed vision corrective spectacles to more than 170 patients for free. During the severe rainy season in Maharashtra, Mr. Neeraj Raja Kochhar donated around 1,000 raincoats to the traffic police in Boisar and in Mumbai. This became breaking news in the region.
•Campaign against child labour: Viraj Profiles believes in creating a better world, so that they actively work towards making a positive change. On June 12, 2019, Viraj Profiles Ltd initiated a campaign to stand against child labour. According to Mr. Neeraj Kochhar, the company also participated in networks and alliances to educate rural sections of the society about the consequences of child labour. The campaign was initiated to promote the importance of child rights and thereby, develop the weaker sections of the society. The company also carries out education enhancement activities in vulnerable parts of India with the aim of youth empowerment.
•HR helpdesk program: Mr. Neeraj Kochhar considers employees as the greatest asset of any organization. That’s why he believes in building a strong workplace culture, wherein the overall personality of the employees can be developed. In order to make the workplace culture more dynamic and employee-friendly, Mr. Kochhar has commenced the ‘HR Help Desk Program’ to effectively address the concerns of the employees. He has highlighted this program in latest updates. Under it, an HR desk was set up at an operational level to address various professional issues, complaints, and grievances. As conveyed by Neeraj Raja Kochhar that the program is initially launched in their Forging plant and soon it will be replicated across all the manufacturing units.
